About us
Ainsworth & Woodcock can undertake small batch work as well as large volumes on a variety of CNC and manual mills and lathes, where one off’s can be manufactured on the manual machinery high setting up costs can usually be avoided.
With inhouse inspections and calibrations, we continue to maintain highly accurate standards and meet the obligations under the BS EN ISO 9001:2015 registration.
History
Established in 1985, Ainsworth & Woodcock Engineering was started by two enthusiastic engineers, Steve Ainsworth and Alan Woodcock, both with 15 and 20 years of experience at that time as tool maker and general machinist, and with the help of family members the business soon out grew its birth place in Alexander Road Wellingborough, Northants and moved to bigger premises, finally settling in a 10,000sqft premises in Wollaston just outside Wellingborough in 2006.
Choosing to sell the business in 2016 after 30 years of hard work and commitment, Ainsworth & Woodcock was purchased by one of its most assured customers, BF Bassett & Findley Ltd, also in Wellingborough, who could identify with the special relationships the Ainsworth & Woodcock team developed with its customers and share the same core beliefs of the founders.
The Company remains passionate about its abilities and service and is registered BS EN ISO 9001:2015, supporting our renowned reputation for manufacturing accuracy and outstanding customer satisfaction.
